Maximilian Lübke wins the VDE Bayern dissertation award
Maximilian Lübke wins the VDE Bayern dissertation award 2024.
Science, business, politics, the media, and society overall face significant challenges that can only be overcome through close cooperation. This makes events such as the VDE Bayern evening event, attended by more than 180 guests at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof München in Munich this year, all the more important. The VDE Bayern Award, which honors outstanding work in the categories of science and business as well as schools with particularly successful MINT encouragement, was presented for the 16th time. We are thrilled that one dissertation award from VDE Bayern was given to Dr. Maximilian Lübke of FAU – Lehrstuhl für Intelligente Technische Elektronik und Systeme this year.
Maximilian’s dissertation is dedicated to analysing and modelling the physical layer of Joint Communications and Sensing (JCAS) systems. His work focuses on investigating and optimising wave propagation also with respect to antenna technology in order to increase the efficiency and reliability of vehicle-to-vehicle communication systems. He is the first to combine various influences, including wave characteristics and hardware limitations. His results lay the foundation for the further development of 6G technologies and are considered groundbreaking for future JCAS solutions.
At LITES – the institute of Norman Franchi – Maximilian is currently heading the team of Radio Propagation, Technologies and Networks. With his team he continues the research in the 6G area and especially in the direction of JCAS systems.
